Option #4 – Individual Student Data Meetings

Develop a sustainable process for facilitating your data meetings in which you’ll be planning individual student interventions. Include a brief description of your process that describes the agenda, forms, and norms. In addition to uploading a description of the process, upload the following documents:
• Schedule/agenda
• Tracking form(s)
• Norms for the meeting(s)
Make sure to post your information regarding your individual student data meetings under YOUR NAME on this page so I can identify your materials

Our school is currently not at the point of individual student data meetings, but are hoping to move that direction for next year. The following documents are what I would start with then have other staff members assist with creating the rest so they are more bought into and claim the system of data meetings.

Feedback from April Kelley...
I enjoyed reading your future plans for the individual student data meetings. I think you have a well-articulated plan for when you start those data meetings. If you ever need to see one in action or share the idea with other teachers at your school, you can use the following video as a model.

Also, I like that you added the column "area of concern" on your record sheet as that seems to be an discussion that is often overlooked during these meetings. It's important that we identify the problem before we jump to solutions and interventions. So, when you diagnose/identify the problem (and you can use your "reading intervention indications" sheet from your intervention guide), then you can record the diagnosis in this column. Also, when you get to the point of running these data meetings, you might use an agenda such as Simplified ISPS Agenda.doc or ISPS Agenda.pdf to facilitate your conversations. Nice work!
